Luke as been associated with Hillgate Boys F.C. since the age of 11. Whilst at Hillgate Boys F.C. he played for the Stockport Metro Inter-league under 14’s that competed in a European tournament in Holland and the Anglo-Welsh tournament in Wales during the 2002/03 season.

He played one season with Hazel Grove United, which at the time, were the first division league champions. Having only one season with Hazel Grove United (at under 15’s), Luke came back to Hillgate Boys F.C. at under 16’s during the 2004/05 season. But during the second game of that season, Luke suffered a major knee injury that would keep him out of the game until the final game. He made an appearance as substitute in the 6-0 win over Lostock Rangers which made the under 16’s 2nd division champions.

Luke is currently enjoying open age football with Old Stoconians and he is assistant coach for the Hillgate Boys F.C. under 10’s

Luke is a certified first aider and is seeking to gain his FA level 1 coaching badge in the near future.
